TAP were employed to design 85,000ft of high specification media office space for Skype. The areas were specifically engineered to cater for the intensive AV requirements associated with delivering Skype video conference calling. The project included significant modifications to achieve very high acoustic standards.

The Microsoft/Skype brief was that all areas within the office were to be designed with full AV provisions to enable Skype conference calls to be achieved within meeting rooms and cellular offices. A fifty person “Chill” area was required for town hall functions, with full Skype AV provisions. Critical systems were required to support a mixture of computer rooms and test lab areas.
